Find a way
To hear this word
Fly away
My gentle bird
Love the wind
But fear the skies
All its vastness
All it’s size
Live in peace
Forever free
But remember to
Remember me

There comes a point in time when enough is enough. I know that sometimes my car can get a little dirty from time to time but this is ridiculous. If this happens to you every day, maybe you need to find a new place to park your vehicle. This will ruin your paint job and when it comes time to trade or sell your car, you won’t get nearly as much for it with all the damage it has undergone. I just thought this picture was worth sharing with the rest of the world to learn a lesson. This looks ugly! Wash Me…… NOW!
This is going to be a short blog today. And by that, I mean, its going to be really short. I am only telling you its going to be short so I can make it a little longer otherwise I would just say, “Doesn’t this look yummy and beautiful?”
Some people really know how to go out of their way to make a person’s day and this drink, I’m sure, really uplifted someones spirits. Cheers to a great cup of coffee (or mocha in this case) and a great day.
After getting so irritated with a few customers, I am finally one of the lucky ones who owns a Wii Fit. I have played it a total of 1 and a half hours now (the game says I have 48 mins of workout time under my belt though). When you first play Wii Fit, you spend a small chunk of time learning the poses and exercises and this doesn’t count toward your workout time so this is why there is a difference in my actual play time and workout time.
Let me take you back to a week ago when it was released to the public. I didn’t pre-order (bad me) but it wasn’t a huge deal to me that I have this on the actual release day. I did go to every place that was selling Wii Fit and to no avail, I was unable to snag a box. Fry’s Electronics was surprisingly helpful though and let me know the next time they expected to receive shipment. The nice lady even gave me a business card with the direct phone number to the software department. How nice of her! So I called on the day that they were receiving them, and they explained to me that they DID have them in stock and after asking how many they currently had in stock they told me they had 7 left. Oh happy me! I will be receiving a copy, right? WRONG! I drove over there in about 5-8 minutes and when I arrived to the display of this (game?) there were no more copies left and I watched as an older gentlemen walked away with the last copy. I think it was high time that I got off my butt and do something about my blog. I had been using blogspot for a while now to try this blogging thing out and now after switching to wordpress I can’t even understand why I went with blogspot in the first place. Wordpress is so much more configurable and customizeable. You can do a huge load of more things with it and the categorization of blog entries is much more clear. There truly is a difference between categories and tags and blogspot obviously doesn’t understand the difference. I feel like my blog is much more organized now and I think it looks better too!
The layouts created for wordpress are far more complex with a wider range to choose from. This is just one of my favorite layouts so far and if you’re viewing from an iPhone you get an iPhone compatible layout all to yourself with ease of use for the platform that it runs.
All in all, if you’re one of those individuals that needs simplicity then you can use the free blogspot.com or wordpress.com accounts. But for me, I am sticking with this other free wordpress.org software installable to my own web host. No need to forward domains or change cnames or DNS entries anymore. I’m finished with that!
So my brother was telling me about twitter. I have heard of it before and maybe you already know what it is. But it seems to me so far to be a waste of my time and text messages since I would most likely be updating it from my iPhone. Read more..
There’s nothing like a clean and yummy, delicious looking pastry case in the morning. Especially when its done in record time and you know you did everything to standard. Muffins with muffins. And scones with scones. Prepping the pastry case really is an art and one really feels proud when its finished. It truly is a shame that all that work goes down the drain by prying eyes and orders that remove a pastry leaving a void in a place where you know there should be something there. Oh well. Next time you visit a starbucks in the morning. Check to see how organized the case is. You know you’re at a passionate bux when the case is clean and organized.
Please welcome to the world, Little Princess Kaitlyn. I’m an uncle now and it is a weird feeling just to say it. She was born on February 17, 2008 at approximately 6:30pm. I think there needs to be a new word to describe the brother of the baby’s father. Uncle just sounds like an unfamiliar word now. I mean, who came up with this word? “My brother had offspring and so we shall invent the word ‘Uncle’”.
I haven’t been to see her yet but she was 8 1/2 weeks (I think) early. You know those Portugese babies - warm blood cooking fast. Mommy had the oven pre-heated to 360 so that all would go well. LOL! Anyway, just thought I would fill you in. I’ll upload more pictures as I get them. In the meantime, I’ll keep pondering the idea of the word Uncle.
Let me start by just saying that some establishments just need to offer wifi even if its just to friends and family. I’ve been trying to persuade the owner of Vida Y Vino to get a wireless router so we can get online and do stuff. We patronize her wine bistro enough that I think she can afford the dent in her pocket to shell out the measly 50 bucks for a wireless router. I even offered to set it up securely so that only her friends and family could use it for the time being.
Ok, maybe I’m being a little overzealous and anxious to feel connected when I go out. As if blogging from my iPhone wasn’t connected enough, I’d like to get online through my laptop so that others can blog, too. And now I’m getting to the topic here - Blog Party! Read more..
Okay! I have tried blogging about this place two times before and the first time I was interrupted with a phone call only for all of my text to be erased when I returned to it after the call. The second time something else happened and it was so long ago that I don’t remember what caused the demise of my post. At any rate, Akadai Sushi has become one of Phoenix and yours truly’s favorite sushi places to patronize. The service is definitely above average but not anywhere near perfect either. However, the freshness of what you order has far surpassed any other sushi joint that we’ve been to in this area. I’m sure I will get a lot of suggestions for places once a few people read this. I have noticed that when I go to other wannabe sushi restaurants in the area the miso soup is bland, the chicken teriyaki just tastes as mediocre as any other. There really isn’t anything that sets one restaurant apart from another. Akadai Sushi, on the other hand, makes a chicken teriyaki dish that tastes like it was actually grilled. Has a slight hint of that charred flavor which is a big plus in my opinion. Read more..
