Okay! I have tried blogging about this place two times before and the first time I was interrupted with a phone call only for all of my text to be erased when I returned to it after the call. The second time something else happened and it was so long ago that I don’t remember what caused the demise of my post. At any rate, Akadai Sushi has become one of Phoenix and yours truly’s favorite sushi places to patronize. The service is definitely above average but not anywhere near perfect either. However, the freshness of what you order has far surpassed any other sushi joint that we’ve been to in this area. I’m sure I will get a lot of suggestions for places once a few people read this. I have noticed that when I go to other wannabe sushi restaurants in the area the miso soup is bland, the chicken teriyaki just tastes as mediocre as any other. There really isn’t anything that sets one restaurant apart from another. Akadai Sushi, on the other hand, makes a chicken teriyaki dish that tastes like it was actually grilled. Has a slight hint of that charred flavor which is a big plus in my opinion.
Akadai Sushi is located in the same shopping center as Cloverleaf Bowl like a little hole in the wall location. Once inside though the décor is not what you would expect from the outside - much nicer and definitely has an atmosphere about it. They even provide you with a stick of melon gum with your check which I have never seen done before. And you’ll have to take my word for it that it pairs well with what you just ate.
I highly recommend this place if you like sushi. The flavors are fresh and you can see for yourself in the picture posted that the food is even as visually appealing as I say. In the words of a friend of a friend, “Dee-lish!”
A daydream is a meal at which images are eaten. Some of us are gourmets, some gourmands, and a good many take their images precooked out of a can and swallow them down whole, absent-mindedly and with little relish. One man's daydreaming is another man's day.

You just know I have to say something when it comes to sushi….Because I am the Sushi Mastah! No..I’m not…It’s funny how many Sushi places there are in Fremont. I didn’t know there was a very big Japanese population here. I mostly stick to the ones, I know. It can be a REALLY bad experience if you go to an unknown sushi place; and I’m not just talking about customer service. I mean, that’s RAW fish you’re eating there. It sounds like you guys found a good one, though. I’ll have to check it out…but I’ll definitely have to take you guys to some other ones I know!!
